Here's a fun way to celebrate Earth Day! This race is family friendly. The route is a 5K loop, and runners (or walkers!) will stop by planet signs placed at their true relative distances. Read the fun facts about each poster, and chat with member of the WVU Astronomy Club to learn more. If 5k is a little too long for you, we recommend that you only visit the "inner" planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars), then turn around.

8:00am Race Registration and Packet Pick up

9:00am Race Starts

11:00am Race Activities End

After you finish the race, you should head over to Woodburn Circle for the WV March for Science (lectures starting at 10am, walk starting at 11am)! pdf flyer

Location:

WVU Student Recreation Center. Race is approximately 5km in length, and the route is a loop starting and ending at the WVU Student Recreation Center.
